Children's Guide to Services in Sacramento County

Community Outreach
As charged by law, the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sacramento, Inc. (CAPC) seeks to increase the general awareness of the public about issues relating to child abuse and neglect. The intent is to build a community which protects its children by recognizing indicators and responding appropriately. Using multi-media, including print, web site, video, safety fairs and television; the Council seeks to accomplish the following:

To provide data and information on the status of children.
To educate adults for better parenting practices.
To raise the public consciousness about child abuse, neglect, safety and well being of children.
To inform the public and professionals about the appropriate actions they may take to protect children.
To provide agencies and organizations with materials and direction for their constituencies.
To respond promptly to new trends and developments with materials and information.
